An important message from Living Time

In the five years since the fixed term annuity market was first pioneered by Living Time (working as an appointed representative of Alico UK) sales in the market have grown to an estimated value of £350 - £400 million each year.

We believe that this market is set to more than double to £1 billion a year by 2013 as increased innovation and competition drives growth.

MetLife became the sole distributor for the Living Time product in February 2011, following its acquisition of Alico in 2010.

Now, as part of the ongoing integration of Alico, MetLife is to launch an enhanced, MetLife branded, fixed term annuity product. Living Time will remain an independent company but will continue to work with MetLife to support and promote this new and growing area of the retirement market.

The key information which you need to be aware of is as follows:

  • Living Time fixed term annuity (including the 75 Plan, the Income Plan and the Personal Investment Plan)
  • Last day for obtaining quotes 9 September 2011
  • Last day for receipt of applications 16 September 2011
  • Full features and benefits of MetLife’s new fixed term annuity product are available on the MetLife website together with key dates for quotes and applications.
  • Living Time clients will continue to enjoy the benefits they currently receive from their Living Time plans. All existing products will continue to be administered as usual.
  • Living Time will also honour all pipeline business submitted up to 16 September 2011.
